Job Description
- Starting at $80,000/year

- Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, Weekends as needed
- Located in Lacey, Washington
- Supervise and train QC team members to ensure adherence to quality control processes and procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications
- Oversee and enforce proper sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control procedures within the facility
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality checks, inspections, and corrective actions
- Investigate and address customer complaints related to product quality, working with internal teams to implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory agencies' guidelines
- Operate and oversee the use of scanning and detection equipment to check for foreign materials in food products
- Conduct weight, temperature, and packaging inspections to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring the facility is always prepared for regulatory inspections
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, food safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and other food safety programs
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train QC staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred
- Previous supervisory experience in a QC role is a plus
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and HACCP regulations is highly desirable
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments, including cold storage areas
- Ability to work around heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors in a high-paced environment
