This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of kitchen departments in alignment with established financial and operational objectives. This role ensures effective execution and administration of operational plans, including facility planning, volume forecasting, and production operations. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $85,000/year
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Monday – Friday 1st Shift, Weekends as needed
  • Located in Lacey, Washington
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee Ready-to-Eat (RTE) salad facilities to ensure compliance with operational procedures, customer demand, and product quality and shelf-life standards
  • Forecast demand accurately using historical data, market trends, and other relevant information to support optimal production and fulfillment
  • Develop and manage budgets; monitor costs and implement corrective actions to meet financial objectives. 
  • Establish and enforce procedures to ensure facilities operate efficiently and in compliance with food safety, quality, maintenance, and organic certification standards, including GMPs
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers and vendors to support planning activities and address improvement opportunities
  • Plan and optimize storage layouts based on product turnover, size, weight, and handling requirements
  • Manage financial reporting for multiple facilities
  • Design, develop, and implement production planning processes across multiple facilities
  • Advise leadership and staff on proper handling, storage, preservation, and shipment of products, as well as equipment usage
  • Analyze inventory records and recommend corrective actions for excess, slow-moving, or unusable inventory
  • Review inventory records for accuracy, procedural compliance, and adequacy of stock levels
  • Schedule and oversee special and periodic inventory counts
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Establish work procedures, prepare schedules, and manage workflow efficiency
  • Provide written and verbal instructions and assign duties to staff
  • Review completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Evaluate and standardize procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Travel as required based on business needs and project requirements
  • Address and resolve operational errors, issues, and complaints
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or 
  • Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures
