HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SHIPPING AND RECEIVING LEAD IN BOLINGBROOK, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Shipping and Receiving Lead to join our team in Bolingbrook, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for leading the assigned warehouse team.  The expectation is to assign and monitor work, implement policies and procedures, train and instruct staff, recommend improvements, ensure quality and on time delivery, ensure 5S, facilitate cycle count/inventory process, document and track product and information in the shipping/receiving area and adhere to policy. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $23/hour 
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm
  • Located in Bolingbrook, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the shipping and receiving warehouse area is operated and maintained according to procedures. 
  • Ensure domestic and international shipments are promptly and accurately processed according to procedure and work instructions. 
  • Ownership of orders for Amazon, Grainger and Samples (inventory, packaging, quality, OTD, accuracy, etc.)
  • Ensure goods are promptly and accurately received according to procedures. 
  • Track shipments and report status to Customer Care within four hours.
  • Continually evaluate carriers, freight charges, and costs to optimize value.  
  • Ensure that freight bills are thoroughly reviewed and promptly submitted to accounting.
  • Verify all goods and information received against the purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for notifying management, quality control and/or Customer Care of discrepancies by the next business day. 
  • Ensure the quality of packaged shipments.  
  • Maintain accurate records and present timely communications to operations teams.
  • Establish and maintain warehouse stocking locations in the system to enable full MRP utilization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory - location, count, transaction, cycle counting, excess and obsolete, red tag inventory, etc.
  • Ensure that all forklift drivers are properly trained, certified, and operating forklifts according to procedures.
  • Manage recycling program to ensure that all waste streams are clearly identified and disposed of in the most environmentally friendly manner possible.
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions to move inventory from location to location within the warehouse.
  • Ensure that min/max inventory levels are maintained to eliminate shortages.
  • Develop and maintain a receiving inspection process to ensure that only quality material is processed into our facility.
  • Implement and maintain 5S in the warehouse area.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be detail, process, and goal oriented.
  • Strong communication skills – speaking, writing, and focused listening.
  • Punctual and demonstrates a “whatever it takes” attitude. 
  • Initiative, self-administration, and disciplined follow-up.
  • Must be effective working in Microsoft office, Syspro and Dashboard systems.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to influence, motivate, and persuade staff.
  • Skilled at working at a fast pace, prioritizing effectively, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.  Willingness to coach staff to learn and grow.
  • Good negotiation skills, reasoning ability, and effectiveness influencing others.
  • Initiative, self-administration, and disciplined follow-up.
  • Good math skills and above average problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with shipping and receiving, including international.
  • Three years of ERP/MRP experience.  
  • Certified to operate a forklift or able to pass a forklift certification test.
  • Familiarity with RF scanning guns a plus.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet business needs. The Company complies with applicable federal and state wage-and-hour, meal period, and day-of-rest requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to perform essential job functions such as understanding safety requirements, shipping/receiving documents, and coordinating with carriers and internal teams. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficient with internet research and MS Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Inside warehouse work, with no exposure to weather conditions.
  • Continually standing and walking.
  • Frequently lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Occasional bending to perform various tasks.
  • Frequently operating a computer and other office equipment, such as telephone, calculator, scanner, and computer printer. 
  • Continually communicating – oral, listening, and writing skills required.
  • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and writing.
  • Ability to read labels, screens, and shipping documents
