Job Description
- Starting at $65,000-$75,000 plus bonus

- Full time schedule
- Located in Warrenville, Illinois
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll, payroll journals, and earnings reports
- Process payroll taxes and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare and file sales tax returns
- Record depreciation entries and maintain fixed asset schedules
- Complete adjusting and closing journal entries
- Support tax preparation activities and collaborate with the CPA team
- Help design and refine accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Contribute to building structure, documentation, and best practices for a growing department
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance client service
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing clarity and guidance
- Demonstrated ability to manage people and processes to support a cohesive, efficient accounting environment
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work independently with accuracy, ownership, and accountability
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office, and common accounting software
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess and resolve issues effectively
- Proficiency with Excel and Word on a PC
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or full-charge bookkeeping
- Experience working directly with clients is strongly preferred
- Professional office environment with extended periods of desk and computer work
- Occasional travel to client locations may be required
- Regular in-person client meetings, either onsite or at client offices
- Communicating clearly with clients and team members
- Performing mathematical calculations and financial analysis
- Reading, writing, and reviewing financial documents
- Using a computer, keyboard, and accounting software
- Planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple deadlines
