Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Income Tax Analyst to join our team in Warrenville, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for leading and overseeing the income tax and accounting department to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery across all deadlines, preparing and reviewing individual, small business, trust, and estate tax returns with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on income tax, proven experience managing people, processes, and deadlines, strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Salary based on experience, up to $85,000 + bonus
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Full time schedule
- Located in Warrenville, Illinois
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the income tax and accounting department to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery across all deadlines
- Prepare and review individual, small business, trust, and estate tax returns with minimal supervision
- Manage state return processing and handle IRS/state correspondence, including notice review and response strategies
- Partner directly with clients who value high-touch service, clear communication, and ongoing advisory support
- Utilize and improve existing procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency through technology
- Oversee general accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, GL maintenance, bank reconciliations, payroll, sales tax, depreciation, and closing entries
- Contribute to a positive, cohesive team culture through strong leadership and people-management skills
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on income tax
- Proven experience managing people, processes, and deadlines
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with a client-friendly approach
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and maintain exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with UltraTax or similar tax preparation software
