Job Description
- Starting at $36/hour, paid weekly
- 4:15am start, 5:15pm maximum end time
- Monday - Friday some Saturdays in Chicago, IL
- Ensure all operations comply with USDA, HACCP, and company food safety and sanitation procedures
- Conduct daily checks for temperature, product condition, and equipment performance
- Partner with Quality Assurance to address any product or safety issues
- Promote and enforce workplace safety practices and the proper use of PPE
- Supervise equipment operation (forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, chillers) and report maintenance needs promptly
- Conduct safety audits and participate in monthly safety meetings
- Supervise and motivate warehouse and production employees to achieve performance targets
- Train and mentor new team members on operating procedures and safety standards
- Support employee development and ensure adherence to attendance and performance policies
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse or production supervision experience, preferably in the meat processing or cold storage industry
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and food handling regulations
- Ability to manage both warehouse and production operations effectively
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Forklift certification preferred
