HIRING IMMEDIATELY: INVENTORY & OPERATIONS MANAGER IN CAROL STREAM, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Inventory & Operations Manager to join our team in Carol Stream, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for hands-on inventory work with process improvement, purchasing, and coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will possess experience managing inventory and who have strong organizational, spreadsheet and system and process improvement skills.

Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $90,000
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • M-F, 8 hours per day, some overtime
  • Located in Carol Stream, Illinois
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, adjust reorder points based on demand, and maintain accurate demand forecasts to ensure product availability. 
  • Coordinate receiving inventory and ensure quantities and parts match ordered amounts Calculate, project and forecast future inventory needs based on sales history and known orders Submit purchase orders to suppliers for product inventory 
  • Manage incoming inventory and reconcile outstanding items 
  • Manage inventory of emergency stock parts, ship customer supplied parts to contract manufacturers 
  • Maintain and evolve inventory systems 
  • Run quarterly inventory reports and resolve discrepancies 
  • Schedule production based on inventory availability, priorities, and due dates 
  • Coordinate with customer service and accounting on financial matters (payments/available credit) needed to release orders for shipment 
  • Act as a liaison between office & sales staffs and the IT department regarding evolution of business/systems needs 
  • Work with vendors to obtain Credit Memos as needed and reconcile the system to remove items from inventory when CM are received. 
  • Work closely with Production Manager and Office to ensure all supplies (hardware, packaging, janitorial, office supplies) needed are in stock and order as needed 
  • Support Office and Customer Service/Sales Staff with ad hoc reporting as needs arise 
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Regularly communicate with vendors about order status, lead times 
  • Participate in regular meetings with suppliers regarding orders in progress & status updates Arrange shipments from vendors to us 
  • Research and recommend new vendors as needed 
  • Coordinate with Production Manager and act as liaison with vendor on PRR/RMA shipments 
  • Cross-Functional Support (Shipping, Customer Service, and Accounting): Provide assistance to other office staff for production and order planning for large volume customers 
  • Receive purchase orders and enter orders into the computer system for large volume customers with future scheduled orders 
  • Work with production to determine order fulfillment order / shipping order 
  • Process paperwork for packages received from suppliers
  • Check invoices against orders received, if items and quantities match, authorize paying invoice. Contact suppliers for resolutions if there are discrepancies in received orders
  • Match credit card charges to purchases made on company cards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and planning skills 
  • Strong spreadsheet skills are required 
  • Overall being a “numbers” person 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 
  • An outgoing personality willing to proactively tackle any and all problems 
  • Inventory Management / Inventory Scheduling experience 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information 
  • Windows, Word, Excel, and email skills 
  • Positive attitude when dealing with staff and customers 
  • Problem solving skills 
  • Self motivated 
  • Associate degree required (Bachelor degree or better preferred) 
  • Experience in the following is a plus, but not required (training will be provided.) QuickBooks Pro 
  • Processing shipping paperwork (especially international shipping with UPS)
