HIRING IMMEDIATELY: OVERNIGHT LEAD MACHINE OPERATOR IN BROWNSVILLE, TX
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Overnight Lead Machine Operator to join a manufacturing facility in Brownsville, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced machine operator with strong leadership, mechanical, and safety-focused skills. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role is responsible for machine adjustments, product quality, safety enforcement, and meeting or exceeding production goals.

Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • $18 to $20/hour, paid weekly
  • Monday through Friday, 10:45 pm to 7 am
  • Temp-to-hire
  • Located in Brownsville, TX

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all job duties safely while following all established safety rules and procedures
  • Ensure all machine guards are in place and functioning properly
  • Enforce safety policies including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
  • Identify safety and training needs and communicate with leadership
  • Perform machine setups, adjustments, and order changeovers
  • Adjust and repair machines to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and eliminate quality issues
  • Monitor machine speeds and adjust to meet or exceed production targets
  • Inspect products for quality defects and complete all required quality checks and documentation
  • Ensure quality checks are completed at each roll change
  • Enforce GMP and quality policies and procedures
  • Monitor employee breaks and schedule relief coverage as needed
  • Communicate machine issues and pending work during shift handoff
  • Submit accurate and timely production reports
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas
  • Meet or exceed safety, quality, production, waste, and housekeeping goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications 
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of internal teams
  • Team-oriented with a positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, push, pull, and reach overhead
  • Must have adequate vision including close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception, and focus
  • Reliable attendance is a condition of employment

Work Environment
  • Work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and high noise levels (approximately 85 dB)
  • Hearing protection required
  • Steel toe or composite toe footwear required
  • Subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing (random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up)
