Job Description
- Starting at $83,000 – $88,000 a year
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day, some overtime
- Located in Redlands, California
- Oversee the full scope of warehouse operations, including layout planning, storage optimization, and inventory flow
- Develop and implement production planning strategies for the entire facility
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and shipment of all products, with a strong emphasis on food safety and product integrity
- Review operational records, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions for slow‑moving, excess, or non‑usable inventory
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure compliance with established procedures
- Lead special and periodic inventory processes and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
- Lead 4–12 managers who oversee 50–100 employees across multiple departments
- Set clear expectations, assign duties, and ensure work meets company standards for accuracy, organization, and compliance
- Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and workflow
- Foster a positive work environment, resolve grievances, and address performance issues
- Provide coaching, training, and development to build a high‑performing, engaged workforce
- Manage financial reporting for the distribution center
- Issue written and verbal instructions to ensure operational clarity
- Design and implement management and operational procedures that support continuous improvement
- Address complaints, resolve problems, and maintain harmony across teams
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business success
- Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in food production, fresh foods distribution, or a similar environment is required
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Deep understanding of distribution center operations and workflow optimization
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
- Flexibility to be on‑site whenever operational or managerial needs arise
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate all areas of the facility
- Must be able to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures
