Job Description

- Located in Franklin, Kentucky
- Supervise and ensure completion, documentation, and maintenance of all sanitation activities in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Lead by example by working alongside the sanitation team to maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary production environment.
- Verify that all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to ensure food safety and product quality standards are met.
- Ensure all production areas, aisles, break rooms, restrooms, and office spaces are organized, clean, free of debris, and in proper working condition.
- Monitor sanitation performance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Participate in and support daily departmental start-up meetings, promoting attention to detail and continuous process improvement.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations established by the QA Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including proper chemical handling and required training.
- Communicate sanitation standards and expectations clearly with team members and cross-functional departments.
- Minimize in-house equipment damage through team awareness, training, and accountability
- Verify completion of all required sanitation documentation per established SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read and understand procedure manuals, including chemical mixing and cleaning procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members, management, and other departments
- Ability to calculate chemical concentrations, percentages, and apply basic mathematical concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and early morning shifts
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and handle challenging situations professionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous sanitation or food production experience preferred; supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to move throughout and access all areas of a warehouse or production environment
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- Ability to safely work around heavy machinery and material-handling equipment (including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, and scissor lifts) in a fast-paced environment
