Job Description

- Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems to ensure smooth facility operations. This position plays a key role in supporting facilities maintenance, building maintenance, and overall industrial maintenance functions within the warehouse. This opportunity is perfect for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic or experienced Handyman who takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently and safely.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure facility systems operate efficiently
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform mechanical repairs
- Support industrial maintenance efforts across the warehouse
- Conduct inspections of equipment, structures, and materials
- Complete all required paperwork related to maintenance tasks
- Maintain organized and clean work areas in support of building maintenance standards
- Assist with planning and scheduling routine facilities maintenance
- Operate Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, and Reach Truck (certification required)
- Promote workplace safety and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Follow all MHE operations, safe lifting, and company safety policies
- Perform housekeeping and general physical labor (lifting, bending, climbing)
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar maintenance role
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or industrial maintenance required
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic HVAC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand numbers, labels, and MSDS documentation
- Must be certified to operate Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, and Reach
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant certifications and hands-on maintenance experience required
- Experience repairing and maintaining equipment
- Construction or advanced building maintenance experience preferred
- Background in HVAC, mechanical repair, or general Handyman work is a plus
