- Maintenance & Repair: Execute complex repairs on CNC mills and lathes in compliance with manufacturer requirements and established safety procedures.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues across hydraulics, electronics, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for all repairs.
- Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret intricate mechanical and electrical schematics to facilitate rapid equipment recovery.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain effective PM schedules.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an approved stock of critical spare parts.
- Technical Execution: Perform basic welding for machine repairs and use FANUC controller M and G codes to assist in troubleshooting
- Machine Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical functions for CNC mills and lathes (experience with brands such as Doosan, HNK, Daewoo, and DMG is highly preferred).
- Technical Fluency: Ability to read/interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and utilize basic FANUC M and G codes.
- Versatility: Knowledge of machine specifications to conceptualize the multi-use of spare parts across compatible equipment.
- Welding: Proficient in basic welding skills necessary for machine component repair
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Required: 7+ years of experience as a technician specializing in machine, mechanical, or electrical equipment repair.
- Preferred: Trade school certification or accredited technical degree.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Moderate computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to operate machine tools for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently (50 lbs with assistance).
- Continuous standing, walking, climbing, bending, and stooping.
- Visual acuity to differentiate between colored wires and electronic components.
- Comfort working in varied environments (hot, cold, dusty, or noisy) and occasional outdoor work.
- Must have the ability to obtain a forklift certification.
