Job Description
- Starting at $28-$32/hour

- Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm
- Located in Jacksonville, Florida
- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines – including programming, setup, and running operations. (Mazak/Mazatrol, DMG/Mori/Celos Shopmill, Doosan Puma/ EZ Guide i )
- Program complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or conversational programming on lathes & mills)
- Develop machine set-ups and program edits, ensuring programs are properly organized and preserved
- Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Read and interpret 2-D shop prints
- Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
- Work with tolerances to +/- .001”
- Maintain highest levels of quality – as specified by customer requirements
- Inspect parts using a variety of equipment: micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, other as needed
- Demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate and avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot and resolve any problems that do arise
- Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
- Update job paperwork, keeping it accurate and organized
- Use electronic Job Tracking application to ensure job status information remains accurate and up-to-date
- Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules
- Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary job knowledge, has necessary technical skills, understands company mission/values, keeps job knowledge current, is in command of critical issues.
- Shop Knowledge: Understands proper use of equipment, tools and safety requirements.
- Technical Skills: Understands specialty equipment, keeps knowledge up-to-date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology practices and standards.

- Math Ability: Possess basic shop math skills and have the ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Reasoning Ability: Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

- Five (5) years’ experience turning and set-up on CNC Lathes/Mills
- Medium to high level of experience with tools and inserts
- Production Experience with high performance alloys (e.g., copper/nickel, Inconel, stainless)
- Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and
- CNC lathes & mills.
- Experience in inspection of machined parts
- Trigonometry & Blueprint literacy
