HIRING IMMEDIATELY: QUALITY CONTROL LEAD IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Quality Control Lead to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Quality Control Lead is the final gatekeeper of product integrity. In this role, you will lead the inspection team to ensure every wire harness, circuit board, and control panel leaving the facility meets rigorous internal standards and regulatory requirements. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $30/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
  • Located in Elk Grove Village, IL

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspection Leadership: Oversee daily inspection workflows, including incoming RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations), in-process audits, and final out-going inspections.
  • Standards Enforcement: Ensure all products comply with IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) and IPC-WHMA-A-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies).
  • Non-Conformance Management: Lead the MRB (Material Review Board) process.
  • Document defects, issue Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and track "rework" to ensure issues are resolved permanently.
  • Technical Testing: Perform and supervise advanced testing, including: Continuity and Hipot (High Potential) testing,Pull-force testing for crimp terminals, and Visual inspection under magnification for solder joint integrity.
  • Calibration Oversight: Manage the calibration schedule for all precision tools, including crimp tools, multimeters, and torque wrenches.
  • Data Analysis: Maintain quality metrics (yield rates, PPM defect rates) and present findings during monthly production meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 4+ years in QC within an electronics environment; 1-2 years in a Lead/Senior role.
  • Deep understanding of PCB assembly, point-to-point wiring, and component identification
  • Active or prior IPC-A-610 or 620 certification is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP software and Excel for tracking defect trends.
  • Ability to spot micro-fissures in solder or slight deviations in wire gauge/insulation.
