HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FREIGHT OPERATOR IN QUEENS, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Freight Operator to join our team in Queens, New York. This individual will be responsible for managing international cargo shipments from origin to final destination. This role involves processing air and ocean freight files, coordinating bookings, and ensuring shipments move efficiently while meeting all deadlines. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in air import, ocean freight, or freight forwarding operations, experience processing air and ocean shipment files and coordinating bookings, and experience dealing with airlines and steamship lines. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $55,000 – $65,000/year 
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00am -5:30pm.
  • Located in Queens, New York

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process and manage air and ocean freight shipment files from start to finish
  • Coordinate bookings with airlines and steamship lines
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers and internal teams
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and overseas partners regarding shipment status
  • Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and completed on time
  • Resolve shipment delays or operational issues as they arise
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Use CargoWise or similar logistics systems to manage shipment data

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in air import, ocean freight, or freight forwarding operations
  • Experience processing air and ocean shipment files and coordinating bookings
  • Experience dealing with airlines and steamship lines
  • CargoWise experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based applications
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment
  • College degree in Logistics or a related field is considered an asset
