HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SAFETY/LP SUPERVISOR IN PALMDALE, CA

This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, safety programs, and loss prevention activities within a distribution center environment. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at  $70,304 (+yearly bonus)
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required
  • Located in Palmdale, California

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assign daily tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. 
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize routine and preventive maintenance activities. 
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems to identify issues and initiate corrective actions. 
  • Perform and oversee complex repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. 
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working condition. 
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and meets quality standards. 
  • Determine material, equipment, and staffing needs; reallocate resources as necessary. 
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization across all facility areas, including docks, aisles, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms. 
  • Enforce proper waste disposal and housekeeping practices to maintain a safe work environment. 
  • Lead new hire safety training, including orientation, facility tours, and required documentation. 
  • Conduct ongoing and annual safety training for all employees. 
  • Maintain compliance with HACCP, OSHA, GMP, SSOP, FDA, and other applicable regulations. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards using best practices and safety standards. 
  • Continuously improve safety programs and training initiatives. 
  • Coordinate employee training programs, including powered material handling equipment certification and SSOP training. 
  • Partner with leadership and HR to ensure training programs remain current and compliant with regulations. 
  • Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and documentation. 
  • Oversee daily loss prevention and security operations within the facility. 
  • Train employees on theft prevention and security awareness. 
  • Ensure compliance with established loss prevention programs and security protocols. 
  • Develop work schedules, assign duties, and monitor employee performance. 
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members. 
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical. 
  • Working knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (HACCP, OSHA, GMP, SSOP, FDA). 
  • Experience with loss prevention and security programs. 
  • Ability to train and certify employees on powered material handling equipment. 
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications. 
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and confident approach. 
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Additional education or technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or related experience, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. 
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. 
  • Ability to move throughout and access all areas of a warehouse facility. 
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions typical of a distribution center environment.
