HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN IN CHICAGO,IL
This individual will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery to support efficient operations and production. The ideal candidate will Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain mechanical equipment and diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic machinery. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Ranging at $25.00 - $30.00/hour
- 2nd shift Overnight, 4:30pm-3am (within that time frame), 40 hours/week
- Located in Chicago, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment and systems on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly cadence
- Troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations
- Perform general maintenance tasks
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or a combination of education and experience
- 2 - 5 years of experience performing similar duties
- Experience with pneumatics, motor, and conveyor systems repair
- Experience with forklift management
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Ability to work varying shifts
- Working knowledge of basic tools and their proper use
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of welding and fabricating is a plus
- Experience with box makers and stretch wrap equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical/Mental Demands
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull 100 lbs. of static force. The employee must also have the ability to see and hear. Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing setting where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas. The work environment may have high noise levels, and temperatures can vary.
