Job Description
- Starting at $16/hour

- Located in Joliet, Illinois
- Participate in and support the principles of the Great Game of Business and Open Book Management
- Perform general shipping location and preparation duties
- Verify and keep accurate records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare items for shipment, including affixing shipping labels on packed cartons
- Count incoming and outgoing parts accurately.
- Determine the method for shipment utilizing Click
- Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, record damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the shipper to notify them of damages and shortages.
- Meet shipping deadlines by working the required hours.
- Operate a fork truck to lift, move, or hoist materials from storage or the work area to the shipping or receiving area
- Perform set-up and material handling duties.
- Combine like parts into locations
- Lift to 50 lbs.
- Participate in the processes of continuous improvement
- Follow approved work instructions
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience using forklifts, with the ability to elevate to heights in excess of 15 feet
- Knowledge of bills of lading, material shipping orders, packing slips, and other freight bills
- PREFERRED: Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Skills
- Attention to Detail: Extreme attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks, detecting problems, and reporting information accordingly
- Communication: Competent oral and written communication as appropriate for the needs of operational processes and for interacting with other employee owners.
- Basic Reading Comprehension: Basic reading comprehension to read tags without transposing part numbers.
- Basic Math: Effectively use basic math to solve problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
- Technology: Solid computer proficiency with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Windows based programs. Ability to use scanners and other technology for inventory purposes Ability
- Must be extremely reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill obligations
