HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FORKLIFT OPERATOR IN JOLIET, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Forklift Operator to join our client in Joliet, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for locating and stocking customer material while maintaining an accurate accounting of internal transactions, placement, and movement of material. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $17/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • 1st shift 6 AM-2:30 PM
  • 2nd 3 PM-11:30 PM
  • Located in Joliet, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in and support the principles of the Great Game of Business and Open Book Management  
  • Perform general shipping location and preparation duties, including preparing items for shipment and affixing shipping labels 
  • Verify and keep accurate records of material movements in the warehouse 
  • Safely operate a forklift to lift, move, or hoist materials from storage or the work area to the shipping or receiving area  
  • Receive, process, and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures, and parts  
  • Responsible for shipping, pulling orders, and completing required paperwork 
  • Participate in cycle counting activities as needed 
  • Perform set-up and material handling duties, and combine like parts into locations 
  • Follow approved work instructions
  • Embrace opportunities to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training & education 
  • Participate in the processes of continuous improvement 
  • Engage and support Logistics’ safety culture and efficient operation of the business, and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization.  
  • Participate in and support the principles of the Great Game of Business and Open Book Management

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 1 year of forklift driving experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds of material
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks, detecting problems, and reporting information accordingly 
  • Competent verbal and written communication as appropriate for the needs of operational processes and interacting with other employee owners
  • Basic reading comprehension to read tags without transposing part numbers.  
  • Effectively use basic math to solve problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division) 
  • Ability to use scanners and other technology for inventory purposes
  • Must be extremely reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill obligations 
  • Practice adaptability, with a growth mindset and willingness to learn 
  • Embrace opportunities to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training & education 
  • Participate in the processes of continuous improvement 
  • Engage and support Logistics’ safety culture and efficient operation of the business, and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization

  • Exposure to harsh conditions such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures will be the work environment
  • Adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas
