Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly associates to achieve productivity, quality, and safety objectives.
- Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency and customer service expectations are met.
- Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate performance expectations, operational updates, and safety initiatives.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and labor utilization.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Investigate operational issues, resolve employee concerns, and collaborate with leadership to drive positive outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer requirements and operational objectives.
- Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and employee development plans.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to staffing, productivity, safety, and operational metrics.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and distribution operations.
- Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Experience leading teams in high-volume distribution or e-commerce environments.
- Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, or process optimization initiatives.
- Experience with labor planning, productivity management, and KPI reporting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and operational demands.
