HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SENIOR MAINTENANCE MECHANIC IN ADDISON, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our client in Addison, IL. This individual will be responsible for the set up and operation of general machine (preferred Cold Heading and Threading machines) maintenance shop equipment tools. Pay, Available Schedules, and Location
  • Starting at $36 - $42/hour, paid weekly
  • 6am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday - plus some Saturdays
  • Location in Addison, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on production and packing equipment and other assigned tasks
  • Provide emergency and/or unscheduled maintenance as required
  • Assist with setting up of equipment for scheduled production runs,machine rebuilds, installations, and moves
  • Fabricate machine repair, tooling parts, safety guards, and other parts as requested
  • Perform additional services as requested including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, repair of packing and other production equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Promote safety as the number one priority of all employees and comply with OSHA, health standards and requirements
  • Work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing policies and procedures
  • Maintain spare parts inventory within the maintenance department
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years’ mechanical maintenance experience including time leading a maintenance team
  • Industrial forklift certification is preferred
  • Preferred industrial mechanical troubleshooting and repair, proficient in welding and cutting procedures, understanding of hydraulics, good understanding of electrical power and controls
  • Perform set up and operation of general machine (preferred Cold Heading and Threading machines) maintenance shop equipment tools, and correct use of machinist measurement tools
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment mechanically
  • Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner
  • Expectation that Senior Mechanic will assist to mentor/train the maintenance team
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation preferred
  • PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite preferred
  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills
  • Mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot)
  • Operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones
  • Manual material handling involves the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch
  • Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment
  • Utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders
  • Enter confined spaces to perform work, including spaces with small and limited access and egress the position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time
  • Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds
