Job Description

- Located in Tolleson, AZ
- Provide on-site supervision for dispatch operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and timely task execution
- Serve as the first-line supervisor for designated dispatch team members
- Oversee accuracy of entries in TMW TruckMate, maintaining all related documentation
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, dispatching appropriate units and maintaining communication with teams in the field
- Support all dispatch-related activities and cover open shifts when needed
- Coordinate communication between Dispatch, carriers, management, and customers
- Monitor carrier on-time performance, equipment availability, and ensure equipment is properly maintained to avoid delays
- Manage yard planning to improve throughput, reduce congestion, and support efficient dock and gate operations
- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned by leadership
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced college coursework in data processing or related field preferred
- 2–4 years of directly related experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle weight capacity, and load specifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Preferred experience with TruckMate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet, or similar systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and interpret operational data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and all levels of management
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors
- Effective interpersonal skills for working with customers, coworkers, and partner agencies
- Ability to perform basic math functions (percentages, ratios, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, and navigate the facility as needed
- Must be able to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures
