- Develop, update, and govern corporate-level safety policies, procedures, and compliance programs aligned with regulatory and internal standards.
- Evaluate incident trends, leading and lagging indicators, and audit data to identify systemic risks and prioritize prevention strategies.
- Standardize best practices across districts to ensure consistent implementation and accountability.
- Partner with leadership to align safety programs with operational goals and strategic direction.
- Conduct detailed root-cause analyses following incidents or near-misses and prepare actionable summaries for leadership.
- Translate complex data into clear, visual dashboards and reports.
- Deliver executive-level presentations and written communications outlining performance, trends, and initiatives.
- Develop and deliver corporate safety training modules, campaigns, and communication materials to reinforce a proactive safety culture.
- Collaborate closely with District Safety Officers to provide guidance and ensure consistent application of standards.
- Assist leadership in coaching, mentoring, and building capability within district safety teams.
- Manage corporate safety audit programs and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively.
- Serve as a liaison with insurance representatives, regulatory agencies, and third-party auditors.
- Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory changes, industry trends, and technologies to strengthen safety programs.
- 3+ years in a safety management role within a large, self-performing construction environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related safety regulations.
- Proven ability to design and manage enterprise-wide safety programs and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence through credibility and collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Preferred: GSP, ASP, CHST, STSC, CSP.
- Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
