Job Description
- Starting at $80,000 - $85,000 annually

- Located in Lacey, Washington
- Advise management on human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Partner with leadership on employee staffing needs, including direct hires and temporary workforce management.
- Coordinate and oversee performance management programs to ensure expectations, evaluations, and policy guidelines are administered effectively and on schedule.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Supervise and support the daily activities of HR team members.
- Investigate and respond to employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues.
- Provide guidance and counsel on personnel matters and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Monitor labor law updates and implement necessary policy changes.
- Ensure all Form I-9 documentation is accurate and maintained appropriately.
- Track new hire compliance and compensation ranges.
- Administer exit interviews, analyze findings, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a backup resource for payroll and benefits administration.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and support annual open enrollment activities.
- Prepare and maintain personnel records and documentation related to employee status changes.
- Maintain organizational charts and workforce data.
- Complete and submit unemployment claims documentation and represent the organization during unemployment hearings when required.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and programs.
- Assist with workers' compensation administration and claim management.
- Monitor workplace conditions and communicate concerns to leadership.
- Conduct new employee orientation programs.
- Implement and monitor training initiatives to support employee development and operational effectiveness.
- Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources Generalist and supervisory experience required.
- Experience in recruitment, temporary staffing, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, labor relations, safety, and workers' compensation.
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or production environments preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
- Knowledge of distribution center or operational environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Ability to climb stairs as needed.
