Job Description

- Located in Plainfield, Indiana
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair or replace defective components on malfunctioning equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
- Support facility and custodial maintenance needs as required.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Communicate equipment issues, maintenance needs, and repair status effectively to team members and management, both verbally and in writing.
- Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Complete work orders, documentation, and time reporting accurately within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and monitor stock levels of critical and consumable components.
- Adhere to attendance requirements and work overtime, weekends, and on-call schedules as needed to support operations.
- Perform minor to moderate machining tasks, including turning, drilling, tapping, threading, and cutting.
- Utilize manuals, technical resources, and internet research to identify parts, suppliers, and technical solutions.
- Communicate with vendors and technical support teams via phone and email when necessary.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, automation electronics, and related troubleshooting.
- Formal maintenance training or certification preferred.
- Experience using a CMMS platform; Manager Plus experience is a plus.
- Experience with resistance welding equipment, waterjet systems, hydraulic presses, and sewing machines is strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to convert and work with units of measurement.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish and/or ASL (American Sign Language) skills are desirable.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
