Job Description

- Create, update, and maintain training materials, including: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Visual Work Instructions (Standard Work), On-the-Job Training (OJT) materials
- Develop training programs for new hires and ongoing employee skill development within Production and Warehouse operations.
- Schedule, organize, and facilitate hands-on training sessions, including: New hire onboarding, Compliance training, Safety training, Technical skills training
- Manage training calendars and employee training assignments.
- Coordinate training logistics, including reserving space, preparing materials, and arranging equipment.
- Communicate training schedules, requirements, and updates to employees and leadership.
- Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, completion status, certifications, and evaluation results.
- Support compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational training requirements.
- Partner with leadership to identify skills gaps and training opportunities through observations, employee feedback, and performance data.
- Ensure training programs align with operational objectives and workforce development needs.
- Recommend and implement improvements to training programs, materials, and processes.
- Measure training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, observations, and feedback.
- Analyze training data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to employee development and operational performance.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing training and workforce development.
- Promote and uphold standards related to safety, quality, compliance, and professional conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing training, learning and development, or related role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and work practices.
- Experience onboarding new employees and developing training plans.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience developing and delivering employee training programs.
- Effective instructional and facilitation skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Experience applying root cause problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to create job aids, training documentation, and learning materials.
- Experience using learning management systems (LMS) or training management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to achieving results.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Primarily office-based work environment with frequent visits to warehouse and production areas.
- Ability to view a computer screen and perform computer-based work for extended periods.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to perform occasional squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, lab coats, facemasks, safety glasses, or other required protective gear.
- Ability to work in manufacturing and packaging environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particulates.
- Ability to work around a variety of odors and manufacturing materials.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules as business needs require.
