This individual will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing the end-to-end movement of goods from customer vendors to distribution centers. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $66,300 - $70,000/year
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required
  • Located in Islandia, New York 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive log of store concerns and operational issues associated with the customer and distribution network
  • Identify operational errors, process gaps, and Kaizen/continuous improvement opportunities that may impact customer service or operational performance
  • Analyze large volumes of operational and supply chain data, including supplier production schedules, production reconciliation reports, shipment information, service levels, and capacity data
  • Review underperforming areas within operations and identify contributing factors such as missed delivery times, transportation routes, warehouse capacity constraints, weather events, stocking program limitations, and other operational challenges
  • Utilize existing technology and develop new analytical tools, including relational database management systems, to analyze information efficiently and improve decision-making
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of process flows and business challenges in order to identify root causes and recommend improvements that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve overall supply chain performance
  • Participate in weekly and monthly Business and Operations Planning (B&OP) meetings with Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Inventory Control leadership
  • Provide recommendations to operational leaders based on data analysis, research, trends, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Customer Operations, Inventory Control, and Project Management
  • Communicate with vendors to address operational issues, resolve concerns, support negotiations, and develop productive working relationships
  • Maintain regular communication with customer representatives regarding operational performance, service concerns, and ongoing issues
  • Cross-reference and validate reports received through the customer portal
  • Follow up with Distribution Center Managers (DCMs) regarding operational impacts, concerns, and corrective actions
  • Review, compile, and publish the nationwide Discrepancy Monitoring Report every Tuesday by mid-day
  • Review, compile, and publish the nationwide Service Level Report every Tuesday by mid-da
  • Monitor weather events and other external conditions that may impact operations, transportation, inbound/outbound shipments, or customer deliveries
  • Track operational events and provide timely updates and reporting to senior management
  • Support inbound and outbound shipment forecasting and capacity planning to ensure appropriate resources and distribution capabilities
  • Establish daily priorities, workloads, and operational plans for Control Center Store Support Specialists and Coordinators
  • Hold team members accountable for deadlines, reporting accuracy, customer service, and operational expectations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create and maintain large spreadsheets, utilize statistical formulas, and develop pivot tables
  • Knowledge of relational databases and business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Business Intelligence platforms, and Microsoft Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, customers, and all levels of management
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
  • Knowledge of Distribution Center and supply chain operations
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and delegate tasks effectively
  • Ability to successfully lead and manage a diverse workforce
  • Strong data-entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • 2–3 years of related supply chain, logistics, distribution, Control Tower, or operations experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience working within a Distribution Center, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • WMS system knowledge and literacy required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with relational databases and business intelligence/reporting tools preferred
  • Ability to accurately enter, analyze, organize, and report operational data
  • Ability to analyze operational challenges, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead employees and effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Distribution Center operations
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
