Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and distribution operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing personnel, driving productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring operational goals are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience managing teams in a high-volume distribution setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly associates to achieve productivity, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency and customer service expectations are met.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate performance expectations, operational updates, and safety initiatives.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and labor utilization.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Investigate operational issues, resolve employee concerns, and collaborate with leadership to drive positive outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer requirements and operational objectives.
  • Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and employee development plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to staffing, productivity, safety, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced operation.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and distribution operations.
  • Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading teams in high-volume distribution or e-commerce environments.
  • Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Experience with labor planning, productivity management, and KPI reporting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and operational demands.
Schedule
This position may require flexibility to support operational needs, including weekends, overtime, and varying shift schedules. Operations may run multiple shifts and schedules are determined based on business demands.
