Job Description
- Starting at $38.45/hour, paid weekly

- Located in Rancho Cordova, CA
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor and coach to management and employees on personnel matters, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution
- Build strong employer-employee relationships while promoting morale, trust, and effective communication
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and EEOC charges thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements
- Partner with the Distribution Center Manager on direct-hire staffing strategy and workforce planning
- Oversee on-site temporary staffing agencies to ensure policy adherence and service quality
- Manage new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs
- Monitor federal, state, and local employment law updates to maintain compliance
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of active and archived I-9 records
- Complete state unemployment documentation and represent the company at unemployment hearings and tribunals as needed
- Administer safety and Workers' Compensation programs in partnership with the Safety Manager and insurance carriers
- Manage the Distribution Center performance review process, including goal setting and timely completion of reviews
- Oversee promotion selection and placement processes
- Supervise and support the daily workflow and development of HR support staff
- Maintain accurate organizational charts and employee status records
- Maintain HRIS data for new hires, promotions, pay changes, and employee status updates
- Serve as a primary contact for general employee benefit questions and assist with annual Open Enrollment
- Provide backup support for payroll processing
- Facilitate HR and workplace training sessions as needed
- Perform additional HR duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on HR Generalist and leadership experience
- Prior experience in a Distribution Center, Warehouse, or Manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with employee relations, recruitment, benefits, payroll, and Workers' Compensation
- Experience managing both direct-hire and temporary staffing
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred, with professional verbal and written proficiency in both languages
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with HRIS platforms
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively lead and support a diverse workforce
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and operational teams
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. and climb stairs as needed within the facility
