Job Description
The Store Support Manager assists in analyzing key performance indicators across all service centers, identifying trends, and reporting insights to upper management. This role supports nationwide operational goals, collaborates closely with the Store Support team, and ensures efficient communication between stores, warehouses, and operations teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor nationwide goals for the organization and track progress across service centers.
- Analyze operational data using available technology tools to identify trends, underperformance, or emerging issues.
- Review root causes for missed delivery times, routing issues, warehouse constraints, weather impacts, and stocking limitations.
- Provide bi-weekly updates and immediate escalation of urgent issues to General Managers and Regional Managers.
- Track operational trends using data logged by Control Tower Specialists, including discrepancies, store concerns, capacities, and service levels.
- Utilize or help develop new analytical tools (e.g., relational databases) to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and enhance service performance.
- Partner with Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Operations, and Project Management to support data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the Store Support Command Center, ensuring all tasks, issues, and open items are resolved promptly.
- Ensure efficient communication between the Command Center, warehouses, and store operations teams, including logging information and issuing daily reports.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and hold self and others accountable.
- Advanced analytical skills, including building and updating large Excel documents, using statistical formulas, and creating pivot tables.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, RMS, and WMS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to lead and support a diverse workforce.
Education & Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Business Objects, Business Intelligence, Access).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to traverse all areas of a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a distribution center with varying temperatures.
