Customer Service / Key Account Manager – International Logistics & Freight Forwarding
Salary: Up to $65,000
Reporting to the Department Manager, the Customer Service / Account Manager serves as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients within an international logistics and freight-forwarding environment. This individual manages end-to-end cargo activities, supports booking transactions, and ensures exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
You will collaborate daily with trucking partners, airlines, and internal teams, generate accurate quotes through data entry, troubleshoot service issues, and perform billing reconciliations. The role requires strong knowledge of air and ocean import/export processes and freight-forwarding operations. You will also conduct scheduled customer review calls to maintain service quality and strengthen long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client account management — act as the primary contact for all client inquiries and service needs
Cargo coordination — process, monitor, and review international shipments from booking to final delivery
Quote generation — perform data entry to prepare accurate freight quotes
Carrier communication — liaise with trucking companies and airlines to ensure timely movement of freight
Issue resolution — troubleshoot service challenges and provide timely solutions
Billing reconciliation — assist with reviewing and reconciling billing discrepancies
Customer review calls — conduct periodic check-ins to maintain satisfaction and meet service targets
Provide administrative support to the freight services team as needed
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of operations experience in a freight-forwarding environment
Knowledge of air and ocean import/export processes
College Diploma in Supply Chain Management, International Transportation & Customs, or related field (asset)
Experience with CargoWise One or similar systems (asset)
Strong understanding of freight-forwarding workflows and documentation
