HIRING IMMEDIATELY: CROSS DOCK SUPERVISOR IN ISLANDIA, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Cross Dock Supervisor to join our team Islandia, NY. This individual will be responsible for supervising the communication between the warehouse, transportation and all departments within the distribution center. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Ranging from $66,300 - $70,000/year
- Full Time | Overtime Available
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Located in Islandia, NY
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor all inbound loads scheduled for the Dry Department and Cooler Departments
- Oversee the process of store orders to ensure the highest level of service to the customer
- Monitor the urgent replenishment of product to avoid pick locations from reaching minimum inventory levels
- Help and assist Transportation with all backhauls to be received by Dry and Cooler Departments
- Manages the recording of deliveries and shipments into the system
- Attends daily production meetings
- Monitor cross-docked process
- Assist and maintain high quality of service by enforcing company policies and procedures
- Monitor warehouse inventories with special emphasis on minimizing TOS (temporary out of stock) and shortages
- Monitor employee hours to ensure productive and efficient operations
Requirements and Qualifications
- Some college level management education and/or 2 years warehouse supervising in wholesale industry
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and manage all operational programs as directed by Admin and the Operations Manager
- High level of computer and WMS system literacy
- Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs
- Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and WMS system literacy
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 10lbs, sitting at a computer for long periods of time, and climbing stairs
- Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures
