This individual will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and administrative representation for dispatch, while also performing general dispatch duties to support the department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work graveyard hours, weekends, holidays, and OT- flexibility of schedule is a must and have (TMS) Transportation Management Systems software knowledge related to load processing, quote request, shipment tracking, etc. Apply online and kick-start your career today!Pay, Schedule, and LocationRanging at $47,500 - $52,000/annually, overtime available1st shift: 8am- 4:30pm, Monday-Friday and or weekendsLocated in Minooka, ILDuties and ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Supervisor provides guidance for their location managing workflow/task execution and the integration of all functions to the siteActs as first line supervisor for designated dispatch staffMonitors and validates the accuracy of entries into the TMW TruckMate system, including filing and maintaining paperwork associated with TMW entriesTakes emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance, dispatching appropriate unit and maintaining contact with responding units to gather and supply informationProvides assistance to all dispatch related mattersWill cover any open shift or person when necessary to cover for staff due to unexpected occurrences, etcMaintains on-going communication and coordination of activities between Dispatch and all carrier transportation needs including WCDI Management and in some cases CustomerMay perform other support staff functions as requested by managerRequirements and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by advanced college coursework in data processing or related field (A combination of education and experience may substitute if there is demonstrated knowledge ability and skills to perform the work)Two to four years of directly related experienceAbility to work graveyard hours, weekends, holidays, and OT- flexibility of schedule is a mustDemonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in coaching, counseling and conflict resolutionExceptional organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage stress in self and others within a fast-paced environment, adapting readily to changeRequires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Have (TMS) Transportation Management Systems software knowledge related to load processing, quote request, shipment tracking, etcPreferred experience with TruckMate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet, or related systemsMust have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze dataProficiency in English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, etcAdvanced knowledge related to the department functionsAbility to detect errors, determine causes, and make corrections as appropriateInterpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with customers, co-workers, and representatives of other agenciesMust be able to interact with all levels of upper management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual is a plusMust be able to manage and lead a diverse workforceUnderstanding of DOT rules and regulations, vehicle weight capacity and load spec’s, etcThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.Must be able to work standing up or sitting down for long periods of time including climbing StairsMust be able to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse environmentMust be able to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures—--(Salary range based on experience)—--ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
