HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SAFETY LOSS PREVENTION SUPERVISOR IN BRIGHTON, CO
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Safety Loss Prevention Supervisor to join our team in Brighton, Colorado. This individual will be responsible for identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $52,000-$55,000/year

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as a representative of World Class Distribution Inc, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with others.
  • Develop and conduct training on OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Perform job site analysis, determine employee exposure, and institute safe work procedures.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain all site-required documentation related to safety issues, i.e. accident reports inspection reports, training logs.
  • Conduct accident investigations and facilitate the return to work program along with the staffing agencies.
  • Must be 100% knowledgeable of Workers Comp, as Safety General Manager will be responsible to over see all aspects of Workers Comp.
  • Submission of weekly/monthly reports to Safety General Manager/ and Loss Prevention General Manager.
  • Manage daily activities regarding injury management and workers compensation issues.
  • Work in conjunction with the Staffing Agencies in administrating the company’s Substance Abuse Program, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Conducts safety training and meetings to educate employees on recognizing and controlling workplace hazards. Enforces the Company’s safety program and monitors its’ effectiveness.
  • Employee is responsible for interpreting existing and/or writing new procedures; addressing concerns; and acting as liaison to outside organizations and agencies involved in Company matters related to workplace safety programs.
  • Employee serves as a safety resource for all departments and department safety committees and must exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in ensuring proper administration of safety programs
  • Safety/LP Supervisor that has a “Dry” and “Freezer’ location will oversee both the Safety and Loss Prevention Operations for both locations
  • Report facility and equipment conditions in need of repair and/or action.
  • Interpret safety policies and procedures; respond to requests for information and assistance from employees, management and outside agencies regarding training needs.
  • Research literature, laws, standards and technical developments in occupational safety and recommend to management additions and/or changes to safety programs.
  • Perform Job Safety Audits and inspections.
  • Assist departments in designing and implementing an accident prevention plan.
  • Receive and investigate employee complaints of unsafe working conditions.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and reports finding to management.
  • Compile and maintain all training records and inspections.
  • Maintain library of all training and safety materials.
  • Work with Loss Prevention on all needs

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards, First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500 certification.
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems.
  • Familiar with Hazard Communication Standards.
  • Employee has frequent contact with employees, representatives of outside agencies and organizations and therefore must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills required; i.e., All Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
