HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FINISHING SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE IN CRYSTAL LAKE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Finishing Systems Maintenance to join our team in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for knowing and observing all safety rules, and use safety equipment as required for safe operation on the job, keeping work areas clean, neat, and orderly, and more listed below. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Know and observe all safety rules, and use safety equipment as required for safe operation on the job.
  • Keep work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Monitor, analyze, and maintain proper chemical concentrations, temperatures, and mechanical condition of the wash system and the waste treatment system.
  • Monitor chemical inventory weekly and reorder when quantities are low. Ensure that incoming chemicals meet quality requirements. Remember the minimum required quantities for ordering, appropriate space for storage.
  • Monitor, schedule and oversee the dumping and cleaning of the wash stages and the waste treatment system as required.
  • Monitor and maintain proper temperatures and mechanical condition of dry-off ovens, cool down tunnels, and cure ovens, to include running monthly temperature charts (Data Pack) for all ovens, including the Knaack oven.
  • Monitor and maintain proper operating parameters of DI system, recharge as required.
  • Monitor city water quality, the DI water to the system, the rinse stages for the wash, the phosphate, pH, and the outgoing water to the city.
  • Ensure that powder coating equipment is running optimally, also to include the record keeping of the paint booths, assist with the trouble shooting and repair of the booths, and the ordering of the parts that are required.
  • Complete required product testing to ensure that desired quality levels are maintained, QUV, Salt Spray, MEK rub test, Adhesion, Impact, etc with current and new suppliers as needed.
  • Calibrate all process and testing equipment, daily or weekly as required, including proper documentation, and annual certification for calibration.
  • Operate a waste treatment system, and ensure that all required discharge levels are maintained. Be willing to have proper certification, for a waste treatment operator.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records of all system operation parameters, waste treatment, Coral Wash / waste treatment logbook procedures and product test results. To also include annual record retention.
  • Maintain required inventory of all system supplies, chart paper, LMI pump parts, etc.
  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks, and interact and work with maintenance personnel to ensure finishing systems are maintained in proper operating condition.
  • Interact with other finishing personnel to ensure that team objectives are being met, scheduling aluminum/steel washer changeovers as required, and any other needs as well.
  • Train capable back-up personnel and keep updated with any and all changes.
  • Complete any other duties as required by Manager.
  • Responsible for the environmental equipment process ownership.
  • Always working towards better communication with other team members.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Team and or Management

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be knowledgeable in Windows-based programs, Word and Excel to independently update SPC charts and input data; knowledgeable of entire paint/wash system and its operation.
  • Participation as deemed necessary in a company required training program titled, “Hazardous Waste Management / Spill Control & Response Training / DOT /Contingency Plan & Security Awareness Training.”
  • Forklift license
  • Wastewater Treatment Certified
  • High School or equivalent.
  • Visibility, Excel, Microsoft Word, all and any necessary tools to perform effectively and efficiently his job requirements.
  • Good understanding of the paint system.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
