Job Description
- Starting at $28-$34/hour

- 1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm
- Located in Elgin, Illinois
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs (and rebuilds) of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- In conjunction with the production team, will support continuous improvements of development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- May perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned
- Associates degree from college; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to Four years related experience and/or training. Experience with maintenance of CNC or Gantry machinery
- Knowledge of applicable standards, laws and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of OEM Machine controllers (Hidenhain, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Fanuc based control software)
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some Numerical Controls experience, PLC experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
