Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $32 to $35/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Located in Chicago, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage high-output steam boilers, ensuring safe, and efficient operation in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to keep boilers operating efficiently
Test and treat boiler water to prevent scaling, corrosion, and inefficiencies
Diagnose and resolve boiler system issues, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed
Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and local boiler regulations, maintaining logs and records of performance, maintenance, and safety checks
Monitor fuel consumption, adjust controls, and recommend efficiency improvements
Respond to boiler alarms and breakdowns, executing corrective actions to minimize downtime
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating high-capacity steam boilers in an industrial setting
State or local Boiler Operator License (as required). Additional certifications in water treatment or mechanical systems are a plus
Familiarity with PLC-controlled boiler systems, steam distribution, and energy efficiency best practices
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in high-temperature environments, and perform manual labor when necessary
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency calls as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industrial laundry, food processing, or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of compressed air systems, heat exchangers, and auxiliary steam equipment
Strong analytical skills for diagnosing performance issues and implementing solutions
