This individual will be responsible for booking freight aggressively, with a sense of urgency, and in a manner that keeps every driver moving daily and eliminates layovers for more efficient and profitable operations. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting between $19 to $21/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available
Located in Lafayette, IN
Duties and Responsibilities
Book freight aggressively, with a sense of urgency, and in a manner that keeps every driver moving daily and eliminates layovers for more efficient and profitable operations
Communicate with customers regarding status updates as required by customers and provide solutions to problems that arise
Enter data into the TMW system accurately and completely
Understand and actively work with customer-issued scorecards to improve customer service and meet customer expectations
Provide coaching and training to develop the Customer Service staff
Ensure all drivers are trained and utilizing their PeopleNet properly
Proactive communication to 3PL on any route delays
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
Previous experience in a logistics environment is required
Obtain and set pickup and delivery appointments when applicable
Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations
This position must be able to balance company expectations, customer demands and compliance, as well as the responsibility for retention of our Driver associates
They must also maintain DOT regulations and customer expectations
Foster and build relationships and opportunities for stability and long-term growth with customers by gaining an understanding of their expectations and specific preferences
