HIRING IMMEDIATELY: QUALITY INSPECTOR IN SPRING GROVE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Quality Inspector to join our client in Spring Grove, IL. This position is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings for the purpose of understanding measurable requirements, as well as collecting and documenting dimensional (and other) part measurements, as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a data-driven manufacturing quality environment, with the ability to read an engineering print and appropriately interpret measurement requirements. Pay, Schedule, and Location:

  • Starting at $16/hour, paid weekly

  • Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • 1st Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm, 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm to 12 am

  • Located in Spring Grove, IL

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings for the purpose of understanding measurable requirements

  • Collect and document dimensional (and other) part measurements, as needed

  • Identify and report measurable and/or perceived deviations from standards

  • Set up, perform, and document various destructive, non-destructive, life cycle, and other tests of parts and materials as needed

  • Facilitate and/or recommend third party testing as needed

  • Completes dimensional layouts in support of initial (and annual) customer PPAP submissions

  • Act as quality standards subject matter expert; advocate for and help police standards and procedures

  • Recommend and support implementation of improvements to existing standards and procedures

  • Performs incoming material inspections and approves/rejects such materials as needed

  • Supports Quality Manager in preparation for and completion of internal and external audits, as needed

  • Halt production as needed; call for and oversee necessary purges, quarantining, scrapping, etc

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a data-driven manufacturing quality environment

  • Must be able to read an engineering print and appropriately interpret measurement requirements

  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and basic SPC concepts

  • Minimum 2 years experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Acrobat

  • Strong analytical skills and process orientation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with internal external partners.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adjust in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be assertive and confident

  • Must speak English (Bilingual a plus)
