This individual will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, mics and calipers to comprehend work orders in relation to the operation of spot welding machines. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $18 to $30/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Thursday, 6 am to 3 pm, plus Friday from 6 am to 12 pm
Located in Streamwood, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints (GD&T), mics and calipers to comprehend work orders
Operate spot welding machines including planning the welding sequence. Select proper electrode type and size
Regulate current and voltage for proper penetration and fusion of metals. Position work piece manually
Read Travelers and understand how to route parts to the next operation. Must be able to do own set ups
Reads Blueprint to determine weld locations
Maintain a safe, clean and organized 5-S work station
Follow the processes from beginning to the end to ensure quality of parts
Perform quality checks on parts with common measuring tools and purpose-built gauges
Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to set up and operate spot welding machine
Ability to identify metals /materials accurately
Must be able to accurately read and interpret blue prints and use them to inspect own work
Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
Highly self-motivated individual who is punctual
Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, along with the ability to do basic math
Ability to make decisions and solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
