The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient machine operation, checking weights, seals, and printed lot/date codes, and assisting employees with proper packaging procedures. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $21.50/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
10-hour shifts, 5:00 pm to 3:30 am, Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday
Located in Harvard, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure efficient machine operation by checking weights, seals, and printed lot/date codes
Ensure completion of work orders
Assist employees with proper packaging procedures
Complete metal checks every hour
Follow all pre and post-inspection procedures
Print labels within the computer system
Submit maintenance orders in coordination with the lead or supervisor
Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
Requested to be able to read, write, and speak English
High school diploma requested
Must be at least 18 years old
General knowledge of machine operation
Basic math skills
Ability to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Ability to demonstrate safe working habits
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Strong communication skills
Ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended period
Ability to work well with others and be a team member
