Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Buyer to join our client in Plainfield, IN. This individual will be responsible for placing of service and indirect material purchase orders, and following up with suppliers, as well as requesting product and service information, pricing, availability, lead time. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years related work experience with the ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Being bilingual in Spanish would be a plus. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $23 to $26/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Located in Plainfield, IN
Duties and Responsibilities
Placing of service and indirect material purchase orders, and following up with suppliers.
Requesting product and service information, pricing, availability, lead time.
Obtain the best possible price and lead-time for materials without sacrificing quality.
Perform necessary purchasing activities (i.e. PO’s) in accordance with company quality and AS9100 (aerospace) requirements.
Expedite outside requirements accordingly to support manufacturing and other areas of the organization.
Work with accounting and vendors to clear 3-way match issues.
Source new suppliers and set up new suppliers in ERP system/
Engaging in strategic buying for maintenance, and other areas focusing on proactive procurement rather than reactive order placements.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years related work experience is a plus
Read, write, and speak English proficiently. Being bilingual in Spanish would be a plus.
Strong communications and negotiation skills
