Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Logistics Specialist to join our client in Elk Grove Village, IL. This individual will be responsible for providing customer support at service/will-call counters, as well as by phone and email. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $19 to $20/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
1st shift schedule: 7 am to 5 pm
Located in Elk Grove Village, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide customer support at service/will-call counter as well as by phone and email.
Complete multiple steps throughout the order fulfillment cycle including receiving inspection, order entry, product labeling and routing.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload, move and store products.
Pick, pack and ship product utilizing UPS World Ship and FedEx Insight.
Assist in scheduling and preparing 3rd party freight pick-ups.
Operate company vans and box trucks on an as-needed basis to carry out local pick-ups and deliveries
Provide cross-functional support to department personnel in coordinating order status and throughput, and expediting.
Requirements and Qualifications
A detail-oriented, organized, self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PC proficient with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in a manufacturing, customer service or shipping and receiving environment.
Must obtain and maintain internal forklift certification.
Experience with UPS and/or FedEx shipping software is a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Applicants must have a high school degree at a minimum. Applicants with a college degree or some college coursework are preferred.
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
