HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR IN BLOOMFIELD, CT

Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Pay: $75,000 per year

  • Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours required

  • Location: Bloomfield, CT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping & Cleanliness: Maintain and ensure cleanliness in all work areas, including dock areas, aisles, break areas, bathrooms, and shipping offices. Ensure products are placed in the proper receptacles, and all areas are organized, free of debris, and in good working condition.

  • Material & Equipment Management: Determine necessary materials, equipment, and supplies. Transfer equipment and personnel between projects as needed.

  • Inspections & Diagnostics: Perform periodic inspections of facilities, diagnose issues, and initiate necessary actions.

  • Routine Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule routine maintenance and establish work priorities.

  • Complex Repairs & Maintenance: Maintain equipment and materials; perform complex repair and maintenance tasks.

  • Staff Supervision: Supervise staff of skilled and semi-skilled workers in maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and electrical work.

  • Quality Control: Inspect work for completeness and ensure all tasks meet quality standards.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education & Training: Eighteen months of education and training beyond high school in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related field.

  • Experience: Two years of experience in general maintenance or related responsibilities, including the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.

  • Technical Skills: 2 years of technical school and 3 years of experience in closely related field work.

  • Language Skills: Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
