Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Truck Yard Supervisor to join our client in Chicago, IL. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the check-in process for all trucks arriving at the facility for receiving and shipping, as well as logging each driver's arrival and communicating relevant information to the Warehouse Manager and Receiving Manager for dock assignment coordination. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail with a commitment to safe work practices and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $20/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
Located in Chicago, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the check-in process for all trucks arriving at the facility for receiving and shipping.
Log each driver's arrival and communicate relevant information to the Warehouse Manager and Receiving Manager for dock assignment coordination.
Ensure trucks are properly backed into docks and secured with parking brakes and chocks.
Oversee the departure of vehicles once loading is complete and direct drivers to the Sign Out Office.
Maintain security and surveillance of the shipping and loading dock area, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal; bilingual skills are a plus.
Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, both hot and cold.
Experience in yard operations supervision under the direction of senior management.
