This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor to ensure that co-packing activities are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Starting at $18/hour, paid weekly
Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
1st shift: 6 am to 4:30 pm, with a few openings on 2nd shift as well
Located in Bloomingdale, IL
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of production associates to meet daily production goals.
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members to improve efficiency and skill levels.
Assign tasks and ensure that all team members understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
Monitor production line performance to ensure consistent workflow and timely completion of orders.
Identify and troubleshoot production issues, collaborating with maintenance or management as needed.
Perform quality checks to ensure finished goods meet customer specifications and company standards.
Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety standards.
Ensure team compliance with workplace safety regulations and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to management.
Act as the primary point of contact between production teams and management.
Prepare and submit daily production and quality reports.
Facilitate shift handovers by communicating key updates and issues.
Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and minimize waste.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in food co-packing.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., MS Office, production software).
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and other food safety and quality standards.
Understanding of production workflows and equipment in a food co-packing environment.
