A Day in the Life of Andrew Lindgren: Coffee, Pickleball, and La Croix
Welcome to another edition of the AP Employee Spotlight, where we dive into the bustling world of Accurate Personnel through the eyes of our talented team members. Today, we spotlight Andrew Lindgren, a man whose desk is adorned with an army of La Croix cans and who claims dominion over the pickleball court.
Andrew Lindgren starts his day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The aroma fills the office as Andrew settles in to tackle his emails. "After brewing a cup of coffee first thing, I review and respond to my emails," he says, already showing the dedication that has marked his time at Accurate since his start on May 15, 2023.
Reflecting on his journey, Andrew shares his favorite workplace achievement: "I had my first signed agreement at a company that Accurate had never done business with after my 3rd day in the field." Not many can boast such a quick triumph, and it's clear that Andrew has been an invaluable addition to the Sales team in Buffalo Grove. This early success is a testament to Andrew's knack for selling, turning prospects into partners with a handshake and a smile.
In the chaotic world of business development, staying organized is key. Andrew's strategy? Meticulous planning. "I typically plan each day at the end of the prior day. The daily challenge is to accomplish everything on my list before the end of the day while making time to prepare for the next day," he explains. It's a disciplined approach that ensures he stays ahead of the game, always ready to close the next deal.
When it comes to tackling tough tasks, Andrew knows the power of collaboration. "I typically will reach out to someone who I know is seasoned in whatever tough task or challenge I'm looking to tackle," he says.
Andrew's desk is a testament to his unique charm. "I have a collection of freshly consumed La Croix cans on my desk. Once I have consumed 5 or so cans, I take them home to the recycling bin," he reveals. It's a quirky habit that not only showcases his commitment to hydration but also his dedication to recycling. And just like in sales, Andrew knows the value of persistence - one can at a time, one client at a time.
Even the most diligent workers need a break. For Andrew, lunchtime is an opportunity to recharge his batteries.
"I use lunch as a way to refresh myself for the latter part of the day, or grab Starbucks in a pinch," he says. It's a strategy that keeps him energized and ready to conquer the afternoon's challenges.
Andrew's mornings come with their own brand of humor. "I tend to be the first person in my branch office in the morning. I have found myself, on more than one occasion, going into the office and then immediately forgetting something in my car only to lock myself out," he shares. Nothing like an impromptu cardio session to start the day - or maybe it's just Andrew's way of getting a head start on his daily step count.
Outside of work, Andrew has a surprising hobby: pickleball. "Within the last year, I have taken up pickleball and committed myself to beating colleagues and friends alike. Colleagues, you know who you are..." he says, throwing down the gauntlet. It's clear that Andrew brings the same tenacity to the court as he does to his job. Every game, like every sale, is a chance to improve and outdo the competition.
Andrew prefers the personal touch when it comes to connecting with his coworkers. "I'm more of a conversation person, so I typically call my co-workers vs an IM or text message. I've reached out to many co-workers to role play various sales scenarios that we commonly encounter," he explains. His approach fosters strong relationships and effective teamwork, crucial elements in the world of sales where communication is key.
When it comes to work-related traditions, Andrew has a clear favorite. "I love a good Christmas party!" he exclaims.
From his early wins to his pickleball prowess, Andrew Lindgren embodies the spirit of Accurate Personnel. His dedication, humor, and collaborative nature make him a standout member of our team. Here's to many more successful days and quirky desk collections!
