We caught up with Ali to dive into her daily routine, proudest achievements, and what drives her passion for her work. Ali’s reflections showcase her organization, creativity, and strong sense of collaboration. From planning major events like AP Palooza to embracing the challenges of booking travel, Ali’s approach to her role is all about making a positive impact and keeping the team running smoothly:Q: What's the first thing you do when you arrive at work in the morning?Ali: The first thing I do when I arrive at Corp South is say “Good morning” to everyone and make my hot green tea with honey and lemon. I then log into my computer and check my emails, calendar, and Zendesk for tickets.Q: Can you share a favorite work-related memory or achievement?Ali: My favorite work memory was planning and attending AP Palooza 24. Flying in everyone from all over the country and seeing everyone enjoying themselves was rewarding and so much fun.Q: Can you share a piece of advice that has helped you in your career?Ali: A piece of advice that helped me in my career is, do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I can truly say I love working for Accurate, our team is amazing and everyone is always willing to help and support one another. I learn something new everyday working at Accurate and cherish all the friendships I've made while working here. Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned from your role that you didn’t expect?Ali: One thing I learned from my role that I didn't expect was how to process and audit payroll. When helping the payroll team out for the first time, I found out I liked to audit! Q: What do you think is the most underrated aspect of your job?Ali: The most underrated aspect of my job is booking travel. I've learned over the past year that airlines are very unpredictable and not always easy to work with. Luckily, the communication from Accurate travelers is exceptional and it makes flight cancellations and delays go more smoothly. Q: Are there any quirky or unique items on your desk that you'd like to tell us about?Ali: On my desk I have this little spider my daughter made me out of a foam ball, pipe cleaners and googly eyes. Somehow one of the legs is missing, so now it's a 7 legged spider... Looking at the spider makes me smile and think of her throughout the day. Q: What’s your favorite way to recharge during a busy day?Ali: My favorite way to recharge during a busy day is to order a poke bowl through GrubHub. I pair the bowl with a cold Sprite and eat in my office. Usually, when I have time I will step away from my desk, get some fresh air and eat lunch at home. Q: What’s a skill or hobby you have outside of work that surprises your colleagues?Ali: I love to ski! Now that I live in Florida, I don't ski as much. Growing up my brother taught me how to ski and we would go every winter. Q: How do you wind down after a long day at work?Ali: I wind down after a long day at work by having dinner with my husband and daughter Aliana. We talk about how our day went and sometimes facetime with our family that lives up North in CT. After dinner we will give Aliana a bath and then we all spend time together before it's time for her to go to bed. When I have time to myself at night I enjoy my sleepy time tea while organizing my things for the next day.Q: If you could swap jobs with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?Ali: If I could swap jobs with anyone in the company for a day it would be a BDS. I would love to see what it is like to work out of one of the branches and sell in the field. Working in Corporate, I don't talk to clients or visit any client sites. It would be cool to experience that for a day!Q: Is there a particular project you’re excited about right now?Ali: The Corporate South Grand Opening and AP Palooza 25!! I am so excited we are hosting the event in Sarasota this year. We are less than a month away and I can't believe how fast the time went. AP Palooza 25 will be so much fun and I can't wait to see everyone.Q: What’s your favorite work-related tradition or event that you look forward to?Ali: My favorite work tradition is our Corporate South Potlucks and Secret Santa. We had a Thanksgiving potluck last month and it was a huge success, there was so much great food and laughs!
