What should YOU do after quitting your job?

What should YOU do after quitting your job?Sometimes a job just isn’t the right fit for you, and that’s ok. 2021 showed us all how volatile the job market (and the world) can be. The Great Resignation swept across the country and we are still seeing it’s impact as we enter quarter 2 of 2022. Tons of people have quit jobs that they no longer felt they needed or enjoyed to go find something different. Whether it’s a break or permanent, it’s important to know what your next steps are after you quit your job. If you feel it’s time to call it quits, there are a few things you can do to prepare yourself for the transition.Step 1: Make a planIdeally, you should have a plan in place before leaving your job, but if you don’t, your first priority should be to make one. Figure out how long you can live comfortably until you need to start earning income, and strategize around that window of time. Budgeting wil help make sure that whatever your next move is, you can do it comfortably. Step 2: Spice up your resumeNow that you have more time on your hands, take the opportunity to spruce up your resume. Even the smallest improvement can make a difference to a future employer! Your resume will always be your first point of contact with a potential employer, so it is important to make it stand out from the rest. Show off your best skills and make it bold!Step 3: Find a way to be productiveIf the job-seeking process is going slow, put your time and energy into something you’re passionate about. Many job-seekers struggle with low-productivity when unemployed. Be persistent, and you’ll find a new job in no time! But in the meantime, there are many things you can do to better yourself before you start back at work. Maybe you finally want to learn how to cook? Or perhaps it’s time to start exercising regularly? Whatever you need to do for yourself, this is a great time to start! If you recently quit your job and you are preparing to look for your next one, share this blog with a friend and then head over to www.accurateusa.com to learn about our wide ranging pool of positions across the country.
