If you had to sum up Jorge in one story, it would have to involve what he considers to be his favorite memory of working with Accurate: a random encounter that turned into a life-changing experience almost two years ago when a stranger approached him asking for money.
True to his nature, looking to help others, Jorge asked the stranger what he needed the money for. The gentleman explained that he was new to the city, did not have cash, and needed a helping hand. Faced with a decision, Jorge didn't just offer a handout – he offered a job.
This particular job required steel-toe protection, so Jorge gave the man $45 for shoes and told him to meet at the office the next day to complete an application.
Shoes secured, Jorge helped the man through his application, and our new associate reported to work later that week, boots on and eager to get started. Upon receiving their first paycheck, the associate was sure to pay Jorge back for the shoes and give thanks for the opportunity.
Given the chance to make a difference, Jorge offered the gentleman an opportunity to join the Accurate family. Today, not only is that person still an associate with Accurate, but they are a provider for their own family, thanks to Jorge's compassion and belief.
